A Bit of Background
Northeast Tacoma Healthy Kids Coalition at a Glance
The NE Tacoma Healthy Kids Coalition is a program under the fiscal sponsorship of Meeker PTSA that supports students and families at Crescent Heights Elementary, Browns Point Elementary, Meeker Middle, NE Tacoma Elementary and Stadium High School. We work closely with school staff, PTAs, and additional community partners and focus on providing weekend meals and other basic needs supports to students in need in our community. Students receiving assistance from the NE Tacoma Healthy Kids Coalition are identified by the principal and counseling team at each participating school. Confidentiality is an essential value of the program. The Coalition does not keep a wait list, and has expanded to serve every student identified by school staff as needing food assistance.

How You Can Help
We need you! We could not meet the basic needs of our local students without community support. We are looking for volunteers and for food donations and financial contributions on a monthly basis.
Donate your time
The Coalition has monthly volunteer opportunities to help pack and deliver weekend meal bags to our local schools. Be sure to subscribe to our newsletter to be informed of volunteer dates! Have a business or group that would like to volunteer? Reach out to us at nethealthykidscoalition@gmail.com to inquire about setting up a special volunteer opportunity for your group!
Make a financial contribution
Make a financial donation to the NE Tacoma Healthy Kids Coalition. Meeker PTSA can then use funds to purchase food supplies and other basic needs support to serve our families. Your donation may be tax-deductible!
This is the quickest way for you to support our efforts.
If you would like to make a donation via check, please reach out to us at nethealthykidscoalition@gmail.com to make arrangements. Donations by check are accepted by Meeker PTSA which is a 501(c)(3) organization.
Donate Non-Perishable Food and Hygiene Items
Ship food and hygiene products to the Coalition via our Amazon Wish List. Items will be shipped to one of the NE Tacoma Schools.
We are so grateful for our NE Tacoma community and the many ways you support our local students and families. Thank you for your ongoing support!
